BioPack Middleware – Bridging Lenel OnGuard with Biometric Technology
BioPack middleware serves as a specialized solution designed to seamlessly integrate Lenel OnGuard systems with biometric readers. This software addresses the growing need for advanced security measures by adding biometric capabilities to existing Lenel OnGuard installations, which already have a strong presence with more than 50,000 systems installed worldwide.
When a biometric reader identifies a user, it sends the badge number to the Lenel panel via Wiegand output. Lenel's OnGuard system then processes this information and unlocks the door based on the user's pre-defined access rights.

ZKTeco Readers
ZKTeco has five different distinct categories of readers, including biometric readers, proximity readers, LR readers, bluetooth readers and QR readers. Each reader is suitable for small businesses (up to 84 doors), enterprises (up to 8000 doors), or both. Let’s take a closer look at what each of these categories has to offer:
Biometric Readers
Biometric ID readers use unique biological characteristics to identify individuals. These characteristics include fingerprints, facial recognition, iris scans, and voice recognition. ZKTeco has four models of fingerprint readers:

LR Readers
Long-Range (LR) readers are a specialized type of proximity readers designed for applications where a greater read range is required. Unlike standard proximity readers, which typically have a read range of a few inches to a couple of feet, long-range readers can identify tags or cards from several feet to even hundreds of feet away. These readers are commonly used in environments where hands-free identification is beneficial or necessary.

FLR-UHF-60 – Suitable for outdoor mounting, can read key fobs from up to 200 feet away.

FLR-UHF-30 – Suitable for outdoor mounting, can read key fobs from up to 100 feet away.

ZLR-UHF-12 – Suitable for outdoor mounting, can read cards and stickers from up to 40 feet away.
Bluetooth Readers
Bluetooth readers are a type of access control device that utilizes Bluetooth technology to establish a wireless connection between the reader and a Bluetooth-enabled device, such as a smartphone, tablet, or specialized Bluetooth tag.

KR500BT – IP67-rated reader is suitable for all-weather outdoor environments. Download the Conekt app to a smartphone to authorize credentials using Bluetooth. Can also use a smart card.
QR Readers
QR (Quick Response) code readers are devices or applications that can scan and interpret QR codes, which are two-dimensional barcodes. These readers are commonly used in access control systems, ticketing platforms, and information retrieval applications.
