DoorBird is a leading name in the realm of door intercoms, blending modern design with cutting-edge IP technology developed by parent company Bird Home Automation GmbH. DoorBird’s design ethos is characterized by simplicity, elegance, and modernity. Launching its first product in 2015, DoorBird has since expanded its reach globally, catering to both individual homes and expansive residential complexes.

As access control credential providers, an RFID reader from Doorbird has caught our attention.  We've received numerous inquiries from businesses utilizing Doorbird expressing interest in acquiring credentials. In this article, we aim to delve deeper into the A1121 reader and pinpoint compatible credentials from our comprehensive catalog.

A1121 IP Access Control Device

The A1121 offers a multi-technology access control solution, especially in areas where an IP video door station might not be feasible or desired. Whether it's back doors, storage rooms, or even elevators, the A1121 readers offer continued access control across all areas of your facility or property.

Key Features

The A1121 comes in three distinct versions, yet they all share a core set of features:

  • The A1121 is versatile, designed to recognize credentials operating on both 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz frequencies. This broadens the reader's compatibility with a wide range of credentials.
  • Keypad with backlighting ensures visibility in low-light settings, accommodating up to 500 pin codes.
  • Suitable for various locations, including side doors, garages, storage rooms, and even elevators.
  • Perfectly fits on door frames and is ideal for generating one-time or temporary access codes for visitors.
  • Durably designed for both indoor and outdoor installation with a solid 3 mm brushed stainless steel front panel.
  • Can be connected via WLAN or LAN. Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE) for uninterrupted functionality even during internet outages.
  • Equipped with two relays and a configurable Wiegand output interface, it can be integrated into existing systems.
  • Also supports integration with third-party home and building automation systems via HTTP(S) calls.
  • All settings can be remotely adjusted using the free DoorBird app or the web-based administration tool.
  • When paired with the DoorBird IP I/O Door Controller A1081, it can control up to three additional gates, doors, or elevators securely.
  • The integrated tamper sensor alerts if the device is being tampered with.
  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), compatible.
